We have been getting many complaints about the discharge brochure question since we have not been using this tool. I let John know that we tried this and found it not to be effective. As staff are having to learn many new things, I did not want to push this brochure again. In researching the adult questions and centralized calling center, I found out they have removed this question and the handwashing question.
I have gotten the ok from John & Marilyn to remove these from our discharge questions
-Did you see your child's caregivers clean their hands (#6)
-Did you receive a discharge brochure (#9)
-Did you find it helpful (#10)
I will let you know what the time frame is to have these removed. This should be a small win for the staff. Let me know if you have any questions.
